LoopBud - AUv3 MIDI Recorder 2.0

LoopBud is a MIDI recorder and looper that combines simplicity with powerful features. It allows users to create unlimited patterns, with the flexibility to work with an infinite number of bars per pattern rather than being limited to typical 4-bar loops.

With two distinct record modes, LoopBud offers versatility in the recording process. The "Add mode" continuously adds new notes on each loop cycle, while the "New mode" clears previous recordings for a fresh start on each cycle, enhancing workflow efficiency. Additionally, the availability of an "undo" option provides users with a safety net in case of mistakes during the recording process.

Quantization is a default feature in LoopBud, easily toggled on or off using the dedicated "quantize" button. Users can also customize the quantization level from the settings menu according to their preferences.

For tempo adjustments, LoopBud allows users to speed up or slow down the clock by accessing the "clock" button. This functionality enables users to experiment with various effects during live performances without the need for additional recordings.

A unique feature of LoopBud is the ability to focus on a single bar by selecting the corresponding measure at the top. This feature provides users with the option to record or loop a single bar specifically, enhancing creative possibilities.

While note editing is restricted within the piano roll interface, LoopBud offers MIDI export capability through the settings menu. Users can conveniently export MIDI files for further editing in their preferred piano roll editor application.

It is important to note that LoopBud operates as a MIDI app and requires both MIDI input and output connections to function effectively. Users can establish these connections through the standalone app's settings menu. For those utilizing the AUv3 plugin, LoopBud offers a MIDI matrix editor within their DAW environment. Additionally, LoopBud supports Ableton Link integration in its standalone application.
